l’emploi du temps vs. le programme de travail

l’emploi du temps vs. le programme de travail

I tried to use the latter and I believe that it was not accepted.  Is there a distinction such that it's usage in this context would be inappropriate?  Thanks.

Hi Frank,

I expect that you are talking about the translation of the word 'schedule' ?

We accept both 'emploi du temps' and 'programme'. I am afraid that de travail is superfluous and you just wouldn't say that in French.

We use 'emploi du temps' right from school although it probably would be translated as 'timetable' there.

Take a look at the following page which has lots of different usage of the word -

Bonne Continuation !
