Si è rotto il tubo sotto il lavandino. Ho chiamato l'idraulico ma la cucina si era già allagata. The pipe burst under my sink. I called the plumber but the kitchen was flooded. note: "rompersi" (to burst) is reflexive, which is why 'Si' appears at the beginning.
