In today's word of the day it says:Eu tenho uma reunião com meu chefe esta tarde. Eu vou pedi-lo um aumento de salário. Why is it not "pedir-lo" since it woudl be the infinitive in English so I'm curious as to what form this takes grammatically speaking in Portuguese and why it's not the infinitive.
